A Sensational Cigar From Romeo y Julieta
Apart from Montecristo and Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta may be the most recognizable Cuban cigar brand.
The famous marque has produced some legendary cigars over the years, particularly in the churchill category it came to redefine.
But another cigar is smoking incredibly well right now: the Romeo y Julieta Belicoso.
This 52 ring gauge figurado has a brown wrapper a bit on the dark side, and it’s about 5.5 inches.
The flavor profile is superb: notes of coffee and leather, a bit chocolatey, a bit nutty, with an underlying earthiness and the slightest hint of nutmeg.
The aroma has hints of nut, too (and reminds of the Sancho Panza belicoso, in fact).
The verdict? An outstanding cigar, and unmistakably a Romeo.
And that’s a very good thing.
