According to a report by Harper’s Bazaar, Supermodel Gisele Bündchen made a Cuba appearance the day before Chanel’s fashion event in Havana.
Chanel will be staging its 2017 Cruise Collection in Havana, Cuba tomorrow—a first for any major fashion brand since travel sanctions have only recently been lifted. And today, coincidentally, Gisele shared an Instagram of a picturesque Havana street captioned, “Hola Cuba!”
Separately, Karl Lagerfeld is in Havana this month to present Chanel’s resort collection, but before the runway event takes place, the designer will also debut an exhibition of his photography in the historic city.
A photography exhibition, “Obra en Proceso/Work in Progress”, opened last week in Havana at Factoria Habana, less than a week before the house’s resort 2017 show is set to take place.
Organized by the Alliance Française, the exhibition will be a month-long celebration of Francophone culture in Cuba.
