Acclaimed actress Rosario Dawson hosted a major Airbnb event in New York this week that celebrated the upcoming one-year anniversary of the historic rapprochement between Cuba and the United States.
Dawson was joined at the fete by Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba, a Cuban dance troupe which was in New York to perform “Cuba Vibra,” a show at the New Victory Theater in New York City.
Dawson’s mother is of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent.
Airbnb has been growing significantly in Cuba since launching in the Cuban market in April with more than 1,000 listings.
“I can’t wait to go back to Cuba,” Dawson wrote on social media after the event.
