Barack Obama is now in Cuba.
United States President Barack Obama officially kicked off his historic visit to Cuba on Sunday.
Touching down at Jose Marti International Airport, Obama became the first sitting US president to visit the island since Calvin Coolidge in 1928.
The visit comes less than a year and a half after the landmark rapprochement between Obama and Cuba President Raul Castro that kicked off a wave of new engagement with Cuba.
“Que bola Cuba?” Obama wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Just touched down here, looking forward to meeting and hearing directly from the Cuban people.”
