Cabaret Parisien, smaller than the more famous Tropicana Club – Havana, is a fusion of Indoamerican, Hispanic and African cultures, that contains the roots of Cuban culture.
Cabaret Parisien is typical of caberet entertainment, combining music, song, dance, recitation, and drama. It is mainly distinguished by the performance venue, which might be a pub, a restaurant or a nightclub with a stage. It’s a whole Cuba experience on a stage with cocktails.
It is performed everyday from 9:00pm to 2:00am. The show actually starts around 10:00pm and after the main show ends at 12:00am, you can learn how to dance. Buy tickets at the Hotel Nacional (connected to the venue) for about $35. Advance purchase is recommended as the show will fill up during the season (winter). Your tour operator may be able to purchase advance tickets for you.
It’s location at Hotel Nacional makes the show ideal for seaside pre-event cocktails and dinner. “Oily nights” with a full moon are the best time to capture this amazing experience.
After the show, head over to La Zorra y El Cuervo (The Vixen and the Crow) located at: Calle 23, entre N y O. You can’t go to Cuba without experiencing live jazz. The entrance is a phone booth located in the sidewalk.
