Habanos, SA, the global corporation for Cuban cigars, has announced the appointment of Ernesto Gonzalez as its new operational marketing director.
Gonzalez comes to Habanos with more than 15 years of experience in the tobacco sector; he has previously held positions including General Director of the Infifon company; exclusive distributor for Habanos SA in Russia from 2002-2004 and 2007-2011 and most recently had served as export director for Habanos from 2012 to 2016.
Gonzalez’s most recent position was commercial specialist of Habanos SA.
He succeeds Enrique Babot Espinosa, who will develop new responsibilities at Habanos, the company said in a statement.
