Staying at the Santa Brígida Convent does not require you to take the oath of chastity during your stay, but it will put you in a quiet place and perhaps transport you to some earlier time when things were simpler.

The convent (Santa Brígida’s Convent of the Order of Santa Brígida’s Saint Saving (Century XVIII), built in the mid 1800s, is something between a hostel and a bed and breakfast. It is located in the heart of the Old Havana, adjacent to the Plaza San Francisco de Asís and the Basilica Menor.

The 21 rooms will accommodation anyone regardless of origin or religious belief. Prices, including breakfast, are reasonable and vary according to the accommodation type: Simple Standard, Sencilla Junior Suite, Dole Standard, Junior Suite, and Family Room up to four members.

Rooms have central air conditioning, telephone and cable TV. All services are provided by the cordial Brigidinas Sisters, who can communicate several languages: English, French, German, and Italian.

The convent complex is separated into two parts: the convent itself and the guesthouse. The guesthouse includes: the restaurant, the library, meeting rooms, the patio and the Chapel.

Requests for stays at Santa Brígida’s Convent can only be made through e-mail, written to the Mother Superior, who responds promptly to requests.

The convent can arrange taxi service for transportation from the airport if requested. Revenue supports charity and assistance to sick, elderly and children of Cuba.
Walk-ins are not accepted.
