Staying at the Santa Brígida Convent does not require you to take the oath of chastity during your stay, but it will put you in a quiet place and perhaps transport you to some earlier time when things were simpler.
The convent (Santa Brígida’s Convent of the Order of Santa Brígida’s Saint Saving (Century XVIII), built in the mid 1800s, is something between a hostel and a bed and breakfast. It is located in the heart of the Old Havana, adjacent to the Plaza San Francisco de Asís and the Basilica Menor.
The 21 rooms will accommodation anyone regardless of origin or religious belief. Prices, including breakfast, are reasonable and vary according to the accommodation type: Simple Standard, Sencilla Junior Suite, Dole Standard, Junior Suite, and Family Room up to four members.
