Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz will lead a working visit to the United States next week.

The visit will take place from February 15 to 18, according to a statement from Cuba’s government.

Diaz will be leading a delegation composed of officials from MINCEX, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Bank of Cuba, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and several Cuban companies.

Diaz will be received by his American counterpart, US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, who made her first official visit to Cuba in October.

This will mark the second meeting from officials from both countries to engage in negotiations about the scope of regulations on Cuba and their impact on bilateral economic and trade ties.

The minister will also hold meetings with members of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives from business, political and academic sectors.
