Tour operator Vacation Express is now offering hotel rooms in Cuba.
US travelers who are eligible to visit Cuba under one of the 12 general licenses for travel to the island can book hotel rooms in Varadero, Cayo Coco, Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Cayo Santa Maria.
Vacation Express is part of the Sunwing Travel Group, a major Canadian travel player.
The company said it would have inventory in Havana beginning May 1.
Hotels featured by the company include those part of the Sunwing portfolio along with brands including Melia, Paradisus and Iberostar, among others.
Every US traveler must complete a written certification identifying the travel category authorizing his or her travel to Cuba in order to book with Vacation Express, the company said.
