The Rolling Stones have sent out a message to their Cuban fans, just days before their concert in Havana.
“Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful country,” the band wrote over social media. “We are very happy to play for you; We have played many amazing places in the world, but this concert in Cuba will be historic for us and hopefully for you too.”
The free concert will take place on Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m. on the grounds of Sports City, with a special appearance by Entrevoces Choir.
The London band began its two month Olé Tour of Latin America two months ago in Santiago de Chile, and will conclude in the Cuban capital.
This will be the first open-air concert by a British group to be held in Cuba.
It’s the latest in what has become a series of high-profile events in Havana in recent months, from the Major Lazer concert to this week’s US Presidential visit.
